Model is turning out to be very difficult to print via single extruder FDM. There are no flat surfaces to anchor to the bed, so it requires significant support if printed flat leading to a lot of post processing to ensure no scratchy surface remains when wearing. If printed oriented on its side to minimize support removal, the edges are curved and tapered, so a raft is required and so far I am having a low success rate. If the back was modeled to be flat to the printer surface, it would be a much easier model to work with.
