Foldable Hiccup sword

Foldable Hiccup sword 3D print model

Description

Foldable fire sword of Hiccup from how to train your dragon. you need two foldable bars from radios antennas for example, to fit the blade files. you also need a heater for bend the leather file around the handle of the sword. some parts have to be glued. 3D models only. Contact with me if you want to know where I got the antennas for it. On the new design, you will also need some fabric for making the leather part. There are pieces that will require you to use rafts for them to be printed with no problem since they have a little surface.

I've had too many problems trying to print this design. It's just not worth it. The grip should probably have been made separate so the grip, pommel, and guard would have best been made with three prints, perhaps best with some tabs and slots to align and interlock. Further, the blades have 0.5mm between the holes and face of the blade so your printer must have a 0.5mm or smaller nozzle, and it should probably be 0.25mm so there can be two walls between the holes and face.

As I told you, you have to set your slicer software settings right for printing the small pieces. An average 3d printer use a 0,4mm nozzle, so there's no problem to make the 0,5mm walls, and if you have a bigger nozzle diameter, you can always change it and have many different nozzles, which is also recomendable since nozzles sometimes needs to be changed ocassionaly. Only one wall is strong enough for the blades, I've printed a lot of these swords and never got one of these pieces broken. And there's no missing files anymore as you mentioned in your review.

Couldn't print, and I'm just told it works for others so something must be wrong with my software. Also, it is missing one of the parts (I may be wrong but the artist hasn't responded to that question). Hopefully, this design works for all other customers, and I'm wrong about the missing part. MUCH WORSE, it turns out the artist failed to provide the correct design files so even my attempts to print the design were a complete waste of time and money.
