This is a complete upgrade kit to mount your E3D Hotend to your CR-10 3D Printer.
This mount was created and tested on a CR-10.
The features are that you can attach the E3D Hotend into the existing fan housing of the CR-10.The 40mm fan got a fan duct to focus the air onto the cooling unit of the Hotend and keep it away from the temperature sensor.
Printing Instructions:
Support is needed!Print it in ABS or Material that withstand high temperatures, because the parts are located near the hotend.
You need following parts:
Assembly Guide:All you have to do is to unscrew the heating element and the temperature sensor from the stock hotend and then mount it into the E3D Hotend. No soldering required!
After that you have to mount the backplate to the x-axis carriage. Then you mount the Hotend with the bracket onto the backplate.Mount it with the temperature sensor on the back side so the fan ( even with the duct) don't blow onto it. I recoment to insulate it with Kaptontape or something similar.
Now you unscrew the 40mm fan and put the duct in front (check the orientation) and screw it together with the new and longer screws.
After this you assemble the whole parts back together, be careful with the cables. I had the best success when I had the cables on the right side of the hotend.
DISCLAMER: The nozzle height should be the same as before but it maybe varies a few microns. so pleas be careful when your level your bed the first time after assembling.
