BCN3D Hotend Mod

BCN3D Hotend Mod 3D print model

Description

With this hotend holder the original heat sink for the BCN3D Sigma E3D and the normal E3D extruder can be mounted. There are nut pockets for M3 for mounting the fans and M2.5 for the clamping element and the limit switch. An M2 threaded rod L = 60mm including nuts is used as the hinge and 6 magnets 3x3x3mm are used per hotend. Thus, the front can be opened to get better to the extruder.Variant 2 is slightly optimized in the lower area and has a little more space. This variant has been reinforced above. There are also 10x magnets ø5x2mm in the upper area, the lower magnet inserts have been removed.Due to the heat, a heat-resistant material must be used for this object.

Not yet, ha ha, it’s a legitimate question, unfortunately I didn’t include a very accurate description, sorry, you don’t need to print all the parts there are different versions, they were gradually improved, I tried them all, basically all work, but the latest version is best for me now, I had these printed in aluminum at the end. For some reason, the power-off switch was always smashed, no matter whether I had installed the original housing or my new head, I also developed the endstop protection since it was no longer destroyed, I will now tell you which files I finally installed for my head, All files from these 3 ZIP files, the others are previous versions. BCN3D_Hotend_Mod_V2_STL.zip BCN3D_Cover_V3.zip Endstop_Switch_Protection.zip

So far everything worked. One question: is the printed endstop casing/mod needed? Cant i mount the endstop directly to the new hotend without the printed endstop parts? Thanks

Couldnt tighten the hotend screws on the original metal cover so looked for a replacement. This mod here worked great, good support from the designer, worth the money in my opinion. Printed on a Bambulab P1S in PLA+
