This is a 3D file to demonstrate the workings of a special clock system. It is similar to the complicated swizz clock and watch mechanisms but made far much simmpler and easier to understand. It is also designed in a way to redce wastage of plastics by having little to no support materials.
This is an easier way of telling time by splitting the normal clock face into four equal portions. It has planets that not only rotate but also revolve around showing the different hours of the day.
Each planet has three alternating numerals that cumulatively add up to the 12 hours in a day or night.
It is easy to setup and assemble and also easy to run because it uses a simple clock movement like those on quartz wall clocks. It also makes use of geneve gear mechanisms, this is an amazing opportunity to get hands on experience with this ancient and unique gear movement mechanism.
No arduino or servos required. And it only needs one screw to join everything together.
The model is separated into groups of components that can easily fit within about 150mm by 150mm Print bed. I recomend using two or more contrasting filament colors. The difference in colours help to read the numerals easily because the help to stand out.
THERE IS A PDF FILE ITH INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO ASSEMBLE THE MODEL. But still the items are prety much self explanatory and fool proof for easy of workability. Some parts may need trimming inorder to fit as intended so gear up with your tools, exactos and scapels. I can promise you, it's an exciting build.
