When i got my printer i wanted to print a case for my power bank. Since Xiaomi is not a famous company i could not find a single model that would work with my 20000 mAh power bank.So i decided to create one myself. The power bank fits great and even without the cap the power bank will not fall of the case even when being held upside down. Its easy to get it out with a push and the cutout is pretty handy to check the battery level on the go.The cap is designed outside the case and to provide access to all ports (1 X micro USB for charging and 2X USB Type A for powering your devices. Also the cap is made so you can see the battery indicator so you never have to guess about the charge of the power bank.
Power Bank Case Specs1) 1.5 mm thick walls and bottom 2) Tight fit so it can be used without the cap3) Power Level Button cutout to check the battery level without having to take the power bank out of its case
Cap Specs1) Accessibility to all ports2) Accessibility to battery level indicator LED's3) Tight fit with the case 4) 1.5 mm thick top and sides
Printing Settings1) 100 % infill so that it is tough2) 0.3 mm layer height (if you are patient you could use 0.2 mm layer height 3)Printing speed depends on your printer4)No need for supports when printing the cap(with proper orientation)5) Need for supports when printing the case to help the button cutout come out great
Extra info 1) The case in the photos was printed a bit sloppy since i had not calibrated my printer well (The 2 patters come from overextrusion that i tuned in the middle of the print)2)BE WARNED : after regular use the fit on the cap gets a bit loose and it tends to fall off (i have used the case for about 3 months now) the case fit is the same being great ( i now do not use the cap to be honest at all)
I hope you enjoy the case as much as i do.
