This is a bottom that was designed to allow the easy integration and installation of a crossfire into the Taranis housing. It reduces the thickness of the overall controller while not requiring and modifications. This variation differs from the photos in that the crossfire display is on the bottom. To have the display on the top it requires some soldering and a fair bit of extra work, so we've left it on the bottom.Do not print in PLA, print in a temperature resistant filament such as ASA or any other filament that is heat and weather resistant.Recommended resolution is 200 microns with increased perimeter walls and a fill of at least 35%, the higher the fill the better. It should line up nicely with the OEM top, but for best look i'd recommend using some autobody putty or modelling epoxy to shape the bottom to match to top but isn't required.I'd recommend sealing it or priming it with XTC3D or something similar before painting it.Our process was to use autobody filler, sand it, coat it in XTC3D, sand it again and then send it off to be hydro dipped. We've been running two for 2 years and they're still in perfect condition.
