PIP DROID MULTITOOL DROID from Star Wars Series The Acolyte 3D print model

Description

PIP DROID - MULTITOOL DROID from Star Wars Series The Acolyte (1:1 scale)

Here is a FDM friendly replica of the PIP Droid from the new Star Wars series: The Acolyte. All parts can be printed in FDM printers with minimum supports. Most parts do not require supports. You can fit LEDs to the head and place a coin battery in the back of the head. There is an opening for a switch in the back as well. Mount all LEDs to the PCB. If you don't want to use LEDs, print the small Light Panels in relevant colors and fit into the holes. You can print parts in relevant colors, it looks fine even without painting.

Head and the body is connected by a 8mm stainless steel shaft which is readily available to buy. Cut it to a length of 37mm. A metal shaft is strong and recommended, but if you are unable to find one, I have included an STL file ( 8mm shaft). Print it with high infill and 5 layers.

If you have a resin printer too, print smaller parts like Switches from resin to get fine details, but FDM is fine too.

Use superglue to bond all parts. Keep the head side of 8mm shaft without bonding, so that you can rotate the head. You'll have to hand paint the black strips and other signs as per the original version from the series.

You need to purchase the following items.

2xM3 Hexagon Socket Countersunk Head Screws (8mm length) - This is for the battery cover. You can also use similar size screw with unified threads as wellON/OFF switch that will fit 9mmx14mm thru cut.
