Porsche 993 Turbo

Porsche 993 Turbo 3D print model

Description

This model has taken me years to draw and refine. It is not perfectly proportioned to the real car, but as close as I could get it visually. Each part is modelled seperately and is a closed mesh. That means slicers that I have used like Chitubox and Cura can see it as an closed object and can print it. The windows I used 0.5 mm sheets of clear PETG, that I bought online. The tyres I printed with flexable tpu and they slide over the rims. For the headlights I printed the Lenses with clear resin and then sprayed them with clear coat.

The colours shown in the images are just the basicc colours I assigned to the objects as I went a long. They are not mapped or UV mapped colours for rendering. I have no I dea how to do that or make a model render ready. The model was purely for 3D printing purposes.

Resin printing gives a much better result as to MDF and the process is a lot faster. The parts will need a bit of sanding and adjustment to fit perfectly, before assembly can begin. A dremel tool is highly recommended to aid in trimming and sanding in corners and edges.

Because of the size of the model the bodyshell will need to be printed in two seperate parts. It is left as one peice in order for each individual to decide how to cut it and join according to their own desire.
