Designed for medium-duty tasks, the G3308 is one of the more “lightweight” trucks in our range making it ideal for different configurations to perform different tasks. Also, because it’s not as heavy-duty as the other trucks it gains better off road capabilities, more below.

It was intended to be used with a 420mm wheelbase but can also fit on a shorter wheelbase chassis even with the sideboard flatbed shown in the renderings and pictures. (Please note that the G3308 Single Cab does NOT include the sideboard flatbed. They are sold separately).Scale diagrams are shown for mock-up wheelbase setups.

The G3308 looks best with 115mm tyres at 230mm tyre outer to outer width with the stock fenders. However a trimmed, high clearance fender is included which will allow up to 120mm tyres with a lowered (LCG) stance, and 125mm when raised. The high clearance version also looks great with a wider 240mm stance.

To enhance its off-road abilities further, custom “rock shield” chassis mounts are included. The purpose is to make the under cab as slippery as possible with the angled surfaces so the truck will slide along the rocks instead of getting caught. There’s also a normal version of the chassis mount that does not have the “rock shield” design.

To match the improved off-road parts, a compact bumper which is narrower in width and mounted higher up, is also included to improve approach and steering angle with less chance of tyre rub. The stock bumper can be used with smaller tyres for a slightly more stock factory look.

A detailed dashboard and 2 different styles of steering wheels are included for the interior.

There are a few options for the cab parts to allow mounting an included snorkel.

Foldable double door mirrors are included so you can still have the scale realistic look without the worry of breaking them too easily. Wipers are also included!

Other than the stock fender and high clearance fenders, there are options to mount functional fender lights (3mm orange LED).

The radiator can be seen directly behind the front grille, which comes in 2 versions. Logo grille and non logo.

2 different types of bonnets are included with different profiles. One is fully smooth, and the other has debossed panels. Both have windshield wash sprayers designed.

The cab roof comes in 4 different versions. Either with or without the functional roof lights (3mm orange LED). Flat and rounded roofs are also included to tweak the look to your liking. (note: the rounded roof is difficult to print, therefore it is recommended to use the flat roof)

Designed to be printer friendly, the parts come in a variety of included options.

Cab:

• Cab combined (cab is a 1 piece print. Requires a printer that can print a minimum of 285x210x150mm)
• Cab split(splits the cab into 2 halves, a 2 piece print. Requires a printer that can print a minimum of 160x210x150mm)
• Cab snorkel (designed specifically for use with the included snorkel. Has mounting points for it)

Roof:

• Flat roof (easier to print)
• Rounded roof (may encounter curve layering print issues)
• Cab light (has mounting slots for cab lights)

Fender:

• Standard (a stock factory look ideal for 230mm width, outermost tyre to tyre. 115mm dia. Tyre ideal)
• High clearance (meant for 240mm width outermost tyre to tyre. 120mm dia. Tyre ideal. Larger possible, expect rubbing. With fender lights only)
• Standard fender light (standard fender with fender lights)

Bonnet:

• Smooth (smooth version with windshield sprayers)
• Debossed (Debossed panels with windshield sprayers)

Grille:

• Logo (grille with “ahead RC” logo)
• Non logo (grille without logo)

Bumper:

• Standard (stock factory look bumper)
• High clearance (narrower and more compact)

Steering wheel:

• Standard (stock steering wheel look)
• Alt version (custom 3 spoke steering wheel)

Mount:

• Standard (standard cab to chassis mount originally designed for scx10 iii)
• Rock shield (angled shield-like chassis mount originally designed for scx10 iii)

A .zip file containing all the print files is also included for convenience. DXF files for the windows are also included.

It is highly recommended to read the instruction manual before purchasing, to ensure you have all the required tools and hardware to assemble this body.
