I know a shortcut to the world cup final! Come!
It was a very enjoyable model to design and paint.I wanted to make a petite model that would not take up much space on your shelf.
This is a diorama model.I used real stones, sand, dried plants, and static grass. The laces of the boot are real yarn.
The boot and its base are two separate pieces.
There are holes on the bot for you to attach real thread.
For the base, you can use static grass and enrich the scene by adding small stones, twigs, or leaves by hand.
As a final touch, you can add some mud stains to the shoe by mixing brown acrylic paint, wood glue, and fine sand—and your model is ready!
Have fun!
3D printing settingsThis model was printed using an Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra resin printer. For large prints, a 0.1mm layer height works perfectly fine. I used Anycubic resin with a 2-second exposure time per layer.
Scaling & Unit Conversion Notice:Sometimes, when fixing STL files, the unit of measurement can switch from millimeters to centimeters. If the model appears 10 times larger than expected, simply scale it down to 10% of its current size (reduce by one decimal place, e.g., 100mm >>> 10mm).
When resizing multi-part models, make sure to scale all pieces by the same percentage to maintain proper fit and alignment, especially if the model includes connector pins or interlocking parts.
Since every printer and resin behaves differently, I can’t provide a one-size-fits-all setting. However, if you’re new to resin printing, you can easily learn by watching tutorial videos. There are plenty of great resources available!
Fun Fact: The Old Boots of Travel
In the world of magical transportation, there is a rather peculiar artifact known as the Old Boots of Travel. Unlike the usual methods of teleportation, these enchanted boots are anything but ordinary. They appear to be worn, weathered, and covered in dust, the kind of boots that no one would ever think twice about discarding. But when touched with the right spell or intention, they transform into a magical Portkey, capable of transporting those who touch them to a destination far from where they stand.
The boots don’t offer the usual instantaneous trip; instead, their magic requires a moment of focus. Once activated, the boots shimmer faintly with a glowing aura, and anyone who has touched them finds themselves whisked away, often with a sudden tug of their body, like the feeling of being pulled through a whirlwind. The destination can vary depending on the caster’s intent, though it is said that the Old Boots of Travel are most often used when the journey is unexpected—either by those who seek a quick escape or those caught in a twist of fate.
However, the boots have a mischievous side. They can sometimes take travelers to places they didn’t plan to go, or even, as some magical beings claim, to where they need to be. It is said that the boots are linked to an ancient and unpredictable form of magic, one that reacts to the subconscious desires of the traveler. For example, someone trying to escape might find themselves landing in the exact spot where their help is most needed—whether they like it or not.
Though they might seem like a simple tool, the Old Boots of Travel are beloved by wizards and witches who appreciate their unpredictability. To others, they are a reminder that magic is often best left to the whims of fate. And while they may look like a pair of old, worn-out boots, when touched in the right way, they can take you anywhere—or nowhere at all.
