The original manga was published from January 1990 until 2000 in the Weekly Manga Action magazine, and then until its completion due to the tragic death of the author in February 2010 - Manga Town by Futabasha. The manga was subsequently released separately in 50 tankōbon volumes.
In the summer of 2010, a new manga New Crayon Shin-chan (新クレヨンしんちゃん shin kureyon Shin-chan), created by members of Usui's team, began to appear.[1]
The manga has been adapted several times. First in the form of an anime series continuing to be released since 1992.
