Dr. Paradigma performs questionable genetic manipulation experiments, something that Dr. Bolton does not like at all, and he tries to destroy the fruits of Paradigma's research. However, Paradigma stops him in time, transforms him into a monstrosity and, as that seemed little punishment, he also kidnaps his 4 children and transforms them into anthropomorphic sharks.

The street sharks had allies, one of them was Moby Lick, his name was Jets Taylor and he was a friend of the Bolton brothers.

Paradigma was looking to create something strong enough to take on the Street Sharks, so he chose Jets Taylor, who had the perfect DNA structure to make it work. It worked with some success, as he joined Jets with an orca (aka killer whale) and what appeared to be a perfect creature was formed. However, being locked in a building with the Sharks in very high heat, he somehow managed to sweat the serum out of his body, and then realized he was fighting Clint Bolton, one of his oldest friends. Eventually Moby lick becomes a very powerful ally of the Sharks and helped fight Paradigm on a couple of occasions.
