Description
screw_ladder_base_sleeping_v1.stlFully printable - no glue - single color 3D printer
Fire truck toy I designed and printed for my son.
Print with a machine that handles tolerances of 0.3-0.4 mm, if it doesn't, things won't fit together, and the ladder peaces will most probably stick to each other. Print the screws and dies with a layer not thicker than 0.16mm (did not try a coarser one, so no guaranty that it will work...), I recommend 0.12mm.Print list: quantity - stl file name - used collor - position for printing - observation:

Hopefully I did not miss any stl files, if I did, leave a comment.
Some adjustments to the long/big parts such that the model can be printed on smaller beds (20x20cm).
- I splited the side parts in two and connected them with two small screws.
- Therefore do not print:
- 1x - side_left.stl - white - turn 90 deg over X - no support
- 1x - side_right.stl - white - turn 90 deg over X - no support
- But print these instead:
- 4x - screw_small_l12mm.stl - any - as it is - no support
- 1x - side_left_back.stl - white - turn 90 deg over X - with support
- 1x - side_left_front.stl - white - turn 90 deg over X - no support
- 1x - side_right_back.stl - white - turn 90 deg over X with support
- 1x - side_right_front.stl - white - turn 90 deg over X - no support
- I cut the ladder to be shorter (220mm) such that it can be printed on a 20x20cm bed diagonal.
- Therefore do not print:
- 1x - ladder_in_out.stl - white - upside down - with support
- But print these instead:
- 1X - ladder_short_220mm.stl - white - upside down - with support
The model was initially posted on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3457842
I will be posting soon my new platform for a truck toy...
The model was designed with Freecad, I can therefor also upload the Freecad project file with it...
Update 04.2021:Because the axles and/or axle screws and the ladder base screws are breaking often (if also printed with PLA) I redesigned them similar to the other truck models. For this use this:
- axle_l100mm_new.stl instead of the original axle
- cap_double_rim.stl instead of the original screws
- screw_ladder_base_sleeping_v1.stl instead of the original lader base screws(prind directions as in the files)Check the last picture to understand what I mean.
