This is my version of the Thermal Detonator from Star Wars and The Mandalorian.
I wanted an accurate looking model that was easy to print, easy to assemble, and still be functional at very low cost. This prints in 3 hours on my Mono X resin printer and should be a snug fit together. For a quick build, you could just put battery powered LED lights on the inside and close the detonator back up but a switch and arduino board are also capable with how much room is on the inside.
I made two versions so this can be used as a replica, display, or Christmas Ornament.
The switch moves forward and back with a slider that could be married to a switch if wanted.
I made one switch normal and one switch to have a loop to make this an ornament.
There is a plug made for the red light so you can resin print it in clear red if wanted or FDM print in red.
The detonator base itself is made of three pieces, the top shell, the bottom shell, and the center ring.
The center piece has three holes ready for LED lights or lights shining from the inside.
