This replica of the SPD power rangers shadow sabre is made to be as accurate to the show as I could get, As far as I am aware it is the only 3d model of this item anywhere online, The head on the sword can open just like the show and all the dimensions are the same as the show too.
It prints very well and I had no problems at all when printing this myself. It did require supports but if you wanted to try and re-orientate parts to print without supports you may be able to.
Comes as a complete model and in parts suitable for printing on a 200x200 print bed, also has a selection of different locating pins to be printed for alignment to ensure that it lines up and stays more sturdy when assembled, and also a selection of pins for the centre pivot of the wolf head with optional shims/spacers to adjust the friction for opening the head.
The model itself is very easy to assemble if printed in the parts I have cut it into, I printed it at 0.2mm layer height without a problem and then I just matched each part with its mirrored piece and joined them starting from the tip of the blade to ensure the pins to hold sections together would fit securely, but these are optional and you can assemble without them if you prefer.
I'm happy for the printed model to be used however you feel fit as long as you aren't selling it for a profit commercially and you don't have permission to sell the design on either as it is or if its modified in any way. If you want to use the model for a project that you intend to use to make money, such as charging for people to hire you for an entertainer with the costume, then that's ok, but selling the product to make a profit commercially is not.
