A recreation of Aerith's weapon from the Final Fantasy VII remake.
It's life-size and will be 1.7 meters long when fully assembled.
There are two 13mm diameter holes for balls to be inserted as materia. A file is included if you want to print these, I'd recommend a coloured resin. Alternatively any same size sphere will work. Another 3D printed piece is fitted over the top to hold it in place.
Has a central hollow for a 17mm bar for extra strength.
No supports needed, but you will need a 300x300mm bed to print the blades. I recommend printing the blades horizintally as shown (not vertically) as they will flex and you don't want the weaker layer lines along the flex lines.
The pieces lock together using screw thread for a secure fit. The screws can then be glued for a permanent attachment, or left detachable for easier transporting. If your slicer supports height range modifiers then I would recommend printing the screws at 100% infill for strength.
The threads are designed with a .2mm clearance, which gives a moveable but solid fit on my stock CR-10S Pro V2. You may need to sand the threads if your prints need more clearance.
