The Tiger I tank is a German heavy tank of World War II. It was designed by Henschel and Porsche and was produced from 1942 to 1945. The Tiger I was the first tank to be equipped with the 88mm KwK 36 gun, which gave it a significant advantage over other tanks of the time. The Tiger I was also well-armored, with frontal armor up to 100mm thick. However, the Tiger I was also very heavy, weighing over 50 tons. This made it difficult to transport and slow on the battlefield. The Tiger I was also expensive to produce, and only about 1,300 were built. Despite its shortcomings, the Tiger I was a formidable tank and was feared by Allied forces.
