SVG files for Laser-Cut MDF Buildings for 8mm Tabletop Wargames 3D print model

Description

This is a set of SVG files designed to laser-cut and build terrain for tabletop wargames of epic combat between gigantic robots. These files have been designed and tested for 3mm MDF boards.

You get an archive containing:

  • four low-rise common habitation buildings measuring (WxLxH, excluding decorations, buttressses, etc.): 30x42x30mm, 30x60x30mm, 30x98x30mm, 122x98x30mm
  • the same four buildings as ruins
  • debris that can be glued as decorations to ruins or used as counters for damage/structure points on buildings during your games
  • one high rise building (85x60x90mm)

Technical

  • files are designed in millimeters, classical red/blue encoding, 1pt linewidth, tested on a cheap k40 driven by k40whisperer
  • each model is supplied in a separate SVG file, as I could not anticipate all possible work area and production combinations. If you need specific arrangements of pieces to minimise cuts and loss of material, please ask me. I could design them and add them to the archive.
  • I recommend using PVA glue applied with a small brush on the burnt sides
  • once assembled, immediately use another brush loaded with water to remove excess glue that could result in white residues. Simply dilute excess glue around the model, the edges will soak it and it will be invisible.

Hello, totally new to laser cutting. Bought these files to try out, but when I import them to light burn it makes them huge, larger than a 400mm by 400mm cutting space. Is that correct? is there something else I am doing incorrect? Thanks for any help you might have!

Hi. The files are scaled in millimeters, that's about all I can tell to help you. I don't use Lightburn myself. If you want to cut directly, use the "individual" files. I believe that the archive contains a file with all parts together so that you can cherry pick the one you want. You can refer to the technical description on the page.
