LEGACY Gondor Helmet LotR 3D print model
Description
Gondor Helmet from the Lord of the Rings universe.
PLEASE NOTE: This is an older version of the helmet I made. The remade version is called REMAKE Gondor Helmet LoTR and is sold as a separate lot on my page. The update is that I have almost completely remake this helmet to make it look more like the original prop from the movie. At the same time, I left this old version of the helmet in the store in case someone liked it better than the remake version, and lowered the price on it a little. Choose which version of the helmet you like best :)
All parts of the helmet should be printed separately and then glued together. The parts have special recesses for easier gluing.
There are two variants of helmet: 1 - not cut, 2 - cut into few parts. In the cut version, the parts should be printed separately and then glued, the joint is equipped with a recess for easy gluing.
All parts of cut version of helmet can be printed on printers with a printing area of 200x200x200 mm.
Model is tailored to the average size of a person's head (including the liner). And you can print the model and wear a helmet on the LARP game or use it as a decoration for your home :)

I've completed printing all parts of this helmet. I have a small printer so I needed to go for the separated parts rather than the complete model. The design is very nice and clean. Once glued together it will require some bondo and sanding, but that's to be expected. What I appreciate very much is the care the creator has put into cutting up the model for those with smaller printers. Very often helmets like this are just cut along horizontal/vertical planes, making connecting them difficult, potentially weakening the structural integrity and often messing up the finer details. Not so here; nearly all the cuts are made in areas that hide the seam well. Some areas just don't allow for that, but there the seams are easy to hide with bondo, on large flat surfaces. The location of the cuts makes physical sense (doesn't weaken the helmet, multiple seams don't come together in a single point) and there are grooves & matching bumps to help alignment and adhesion. That alone is worth the cost of this model. I'll be purchasing some of the creator's other designs, having experienced this quality first hand.
