A battle helmet was a type of helmet worn by Enfys Nest, leader of the pirate gang, the Cloud-Riders.

This model is a wearable helmet. The helmet is quite big and is meant to be post-processed. The shape was inspired by a dolphin skull.

Files contain pieces of the helmet ready to be 3D printed and complete helmet files, that are not cut into smaller pieces.

At 100% scale the helmets inside dimension are:

Width approx. 180 mm (7 inches)

Length approx. 240 mm (9.5 inches)

At 100% scale the helmets outside dimension are:

Width approx. 370 mm (15.6 inches)

Length approx. 603 mm (23.7 inches)

Height approx. 517 mm (20.4 inches)

The thickness of the shell is approx. 6mm

You can scale the model according to your head measurements. It is good to make it bigger and then add cushioning to the inside for a snug and comfortable fit.

PRINTER SETTINGS

As the helmet is quite big, it is meant to be post-processed. We recommend a layer height of 0.1 to 0.3 mm on FDM printers. All parts are aligned to the printing platform for easy manipulation. Most of the parts need minimal or no use of printing supports to save printing time and filament. For reliable printing, we also recommend setting a brim to the helmets shell parts, because of their height and low thickness. It will ensure, that the parts will not come off the printing platform during the printing process. Printing settings will vary greatly depending on your specific printer.
