This design, when printed, allows video game owners and collectors to wall mount their collectable steelbooks or regular video game cases for display. There is also a new version that features no tabs for wall mounting, so you are able to set them on a shelf, or just use another method of wall mounting, such as adhesives etc.
The design allows the cases to be placed in safely and securely, and there is an incline at the inside base that leans the cases backward for proper display; it is also impossible for the cases to fall out due to the curvature design on the front & top ends without impeding the visual appeal or display of the cases themselves. I love to collect but I also love functionality so these hit home for me when I completed them, and I hope you will like them too!
Designed with PS5 Case & Steelbook dimensions in mind. Xbox and PS3 cases will also work with this design. You may also scale accordingly via slicer controls to get the dimensions you want for other purposes.
IMPORTANT PRINT SETTINGS
After I load the model into Cura, I scale it to 223% to reach the dimensions required. You may scale it any way you like, just be sure to use measurements based on what you would like to display in them. I highly recommend using filament or paint that has a shine to it. I made this new design with shine & reflectivity in mind to help with the aesthetic on the front of the Display.I personally use Silk PLA filament with low retraction settings at a temp of 220~218 for later layers. This print will require supports for the tabs when printed upright (recommended orientation)
