This is a fully functional mechanical countdown timer meant for board games. It's fully 3D printed, except for the axles, which can be salvaged from an old inkjet printer, and a handful of screws. The machine features a print-in-place ratchet mechanism to load the weight arm in increments of 12 seconds. The energy is transferred to the deadbeat escapement wheel via a gear train, and it is self-starting.It includes a comprehensive 15-page building guide with lots of pictures!
