DESCRIPTION

"The tank doctrine of Old Albion called for two types of vehicle. An “Infantry Tank” - slow but heavily armed and armoured tank to support the Ironside infantry, and a “Cruiser Tank” – fast but lightly armed and armoured tank to roam the northern wastes and able to be rapidly redeployed.

The Achilles class was the first iteration of the Cruiser Tank. Like the ships that sailed the long forgotten oceans, the Achilles was intended to be able to outfight anything that could catch it and outrun anything that could outfight it. Whilst rarely employed in this role the Achilles proved rugged enough to serve in frontline roles and was more reliable than its Infantry tank equivalent.

By the time Old Albion joined the forces of Unity thousands of Achilles tanks and its derivatives had been build, and many tanks found their way into the armories of the Tempest Legions, where they saw heavy use in the remaining unification campaigns.

Despite the flexibility of the chassis allowing a wide variety of weaponry to be retrofitted, the Achilles was considered obsolete by the time Unification was achieved. Never the less the dire circumstances of the subsequent civil war meant a handful of tanks would still be in action even centuries later."

This tank comes with 10 turret weapon options and 10 sponson weapons options, pre-supported, pre-hollowed and with magnet holes included.
