Renaissance Rackett

Renaissance Rackett 3D print model

Description

This is a folder of 4 .STL pieces to be printed, and then assemble a working renaissance rackett instrument. The range is G1-D3. Great for playing renaissance bass lines and polyphony.

I designed it for a friend from 2 remaining instruments of the time in Vienna.Alt-Tenor Pirouette Rackett, Wind Instrument, Leipzig inventory #1414, time: 1645-1655I also used instructions from the book by Herbert W Myers, Robert North ''A step by step guide of the construction of a renaissance rackett manual''.

This is my solution to providing a niche, expensive instrument for a low cost.

It is 310mm [including the pirouette] tall and 55mm in diameter.

It includes:

  • The main body
  • The bottom cap
  • The top cap
  • The pirouette

Please note: You will need to make or buy a staple and a reed. [The early music shop sells them online]I can provide instructions to make those DIY style.
