The Citroen C5 X7 generation, launched in 2008, was mercilessly mocked and criticized for having a rather silly cupholder located inside the centre cubbyhole, beneath the armrest.
This solution comprises of using the tray beneath the radio and inserting this 3D printed double cupholder. It can hold various types of coffee cups, a 33cl can and small water bottles up to 0.5l in size.
Alternatively, it can also be used as a smartphone holder, though it cannot do so while holding drinks and vice versa. It can hold a smartphone up to 176mm in height and around 13mm in thickness (including a phone case). There are alternative springs included to keep the phone in place. Please check the images and the video for further info.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU WATCH THE VIDEO, as this solution may not be compatible with your particular C5 X7.
This is also a 100% reversible solution, so if you like, you can remove this and replace it with the original mat and use it just as before. It is recommended you use some Blue-tac/Bostik or whatever it's called in the location illustrated in one of the pictures to prevent rattling.
This model does not need supports EXCEPT where indicated in the pictures. The pieces that need support are in shown red in the general image listing the parts. Also, please watch the video for any information that may not be obvious from the images.
It is highly recommended you use ABS or some other kind of filament that is resistant to heat, as materials such as PLA will lead to the printed model melting if the car is left in the hot sun.
