Stargate Anubis Cosplay Helmet

Stargate Anubis Cosplay Helmet 3D print model

Description

As part of a Cosplay i did, Anubis from the film stargate.

the model is sliced to fit my tronxy x5s, i have also added the full mesh. all pieces are printed without supports. every piece has a flat side that conforms with the build plate. be wary that this is a difficult print, with large pieces.

it can be connected with screws at the blue marked place using screws, and using magnets/ or something else to attach the faceplate marked red. i also fastened it in the back with another screw. the head was connected using a simple phone\ camera mount. lighting was done with leds and drilling the eye hole.

Printing it right now on my Ender 3 Neo, will have to cut a few pieces, but i can't wait to walk around at a comic con with this thing.

I've just bought this and sliced it (had to cut a few pieces down a bit as I have a prusa Mk3 which has a smaller print volume but I see no reason why it won't work. Can I ask 1) why are there 2 files for one of the pieces, it looks like an accidental re upload but I wanted to check. Also where does that piece go (it might relate to question 2) 2) How do you mount the head? You mention "the head was connected using a simple phone\ camera mount", and maybe I'm being thick but I don't know what you mean here and would really appreciate being pointed at a product or product type that would work. I'm not all that bothered about the head being articulated, fixed would be sufficient.

if youre refering to the neck stl, then i dont remember. cant really download the files from cgtrader to check, might be a reupload. since i printed this, ive added a new connector for the head to the body. its in the files.

Thanks for the quick reply. It was the neck and neck(1) which does just look like a reupload. I can't see a connector for the Coler to the head - certainly not one that uses the hole in it. If that's the neck piece I think it will work, though just from the models it looks like there will be a bit of a gap around it, though that shouldn't be a problem. I'll see how it goes together once all the bits are printed.

Great set, very easy to print out, I did mine with 3 walls and no infill, makes most of the pieces hollow, to save on weight. I did the head with 1 bottom layer and 5% infill, this way I was able to remove the infill and make the head hollow.

If you are a Stargate fan, this is a must buy! It will take a dedicated amount of time and a large print area to complete the print, but it is well worth the time and effort. This is a beautiful file to print and a great artist to work with. Tim
