This figure is a 3D reconstruction of an ancient Bronze Age artifact found in Kostanay region, Russia. There are many legends associated with this artifact. Someone even thinks that the ancient artifact is associated with aliens from space :)In different regions there are different names for this figure. For example, in Kazakhstan this ancient figure is known as the “Tobolsk thinker”A unique feature of the artifact is the fact that the curvature of the recesses of the orbits is designed in such a way that with even daylight there is an illusion of half-closed eyes. The gaze of the figure coincides with the direction of the falling shadow, so with the change of lighting the direction of the gaze changes.I keep a stone copy of this figurine and optical effects are really present.
