Pharaoh Statue of Maya and Meryt 3d printable model
Maya, a prominent individual, held esteemed positions such as the Overseer of the Treasury during the late 18th Dynasty. Following the decline of the Amarna Period, where the Aten experiment of Akhenaten and Nefertiti intentionally disintegrated, Maya emerged as a significant figure. Notably, Maya played a crucial role in overseeing the construction of the tomb of Tutankhamun, also known as the Boy King. Furthermore, Maya maintained his influential status during the reigns of Ay and Horemheb, the two kings who succeeded Tutankhamun. Some suggest that Maya's presence can be traced back to the reign of Tutankhamun's grandfather, Amenhotep III, as there are records of a Royal Scribe named Maya in Year 34 of Amenhotep's reign at Malkata.
