I'm no history expert, but sometimes I get fascinated by our discoveries over time. Dated about 3.2 million years ago, Lucy was discovered in Ethiopia in 1974. Here is my rendition in Zbrush of some images I've found online. It's a high poly sculpt, decimated to a more manageable level of detail. I have a couple of key cutouts for it to be placed on the base platform. I provided a file with supports included if you want to just print with that, as well as a file without supports if you choose to apply your own. Enjoy, and share any prints!
3D PRINTING SETTINGS My Print Settings: Creality CR-10 - Prusa Slicer 2.5.0
I used the default CR-10 profile configuration with a few tweaks listed below:
Uncheck Ensure Vertical Shell Thickeness Seam Position to Rear Infill to 10% Infill Pattern to Cubic That's it. I printed at roughly 3in in diameter for the base with the supported skull and it took just under 4 hours. Had to weasel the pole a bit to get it in the base and skull. But use the provided files at your pleasure however you want!
