Behold, the shield of Gil-galad, High King of the Elves of the West, King of the Eldar, and Lord of Eriador. Gil-galad played a significant role in the events leading up to the Last Alliance of Elves and Men, where he fought alongside King Elendil against the dark lord Sauron.
Gil-galad’s shield doesn’t have a specific name, but it is often referred to as the “silver shield”. However, we recognise it as an exquisite bronze object with many interleaved layers of hand-worked metal. In the annals of Middle-earth, this radiant artefact stands as a testament to both valour and craftsmanship.
This may be one of the only such models available. The shield is set to a desktop scale but the level of detail is designed for large scale printing, even life-size, if you have the patience and resources! A simple, but very attractive, stand is provided for display.
