Falcon on hand 3D Printable model
Falcons belong to the genus Falco and consist of approximately 40 species. They are found across all continents except Antarctica, with some closely related raptors present in the Eocene period. Adult falcons possess slender, pointed wings that allow them to fly swiftly and maneuver quickly. Young falcons, during their first year of flight, have longer flight feathers resembling those of general-purpose birds like broad wings, aiding in easier flight as they develop the hunting skills essential for adulthood. The falcons make up the largest genus in the Falconinae subfamily of Falconidae, which also includes caracaras and a few other species. These birds use their beaks to kill prey, utilizing a tomial tooth on the side of their beaks, unlike the Accipitridae family of hawks, eagles, and other birds of prey that rely on their feet for hunting.
