Description

**Egyptian Sphinx of Hatshepsut Statue 3d printable model**Model formats :stl,fbx,obj,3mf

This colossal sphinx, found in Hatshepsut's mortuary temple at Deir el-Bahri, portrays the female pharaoh with the body of a lion and a human head adorned with a nemes-headcloth and false beard. The sculptor has meticulously captured the powerful muscles of the lion, creating a striking contrast with the pharaoh's handsome and idealized face. It is one of several granite sphinxes that adorned the temple.

The sphinx holds a significant place in Egyptian art, with the most renowned example being the great sphinx at Giza, representing the Fourth Dynasty King Khafre, who predates Hatshepsut by nearly a millennium. Throughout the Egyptian galleries, one can find sphinxes representing various other pharaohs.

Hatshepsut's reign in Egypt began as regent for her nephew/step-son Thutmose III and later as his senior co-ruler. While most of her statues depict her as an idealized male king in the prime of life, there are also depictions of her as a woman.
