Ararat mountain. This is Mount Ararat on which Noah with his family descended from the ark Stopped on Mount Ararat. Its coordinates are in Turkey but it was an ancient Armenian mountain that the Turks captured. According to Iranianism, the name Ararat was given to the mountain on the basis of the biblical legend about Noah's ark: since Ararat is the highest peak of the region, then, according to Europeans, Noah's ark had to stick to it (see the section Ararat in the Bible)
