Always enjoyed the movies Species . . .OK the first one ..but somehow the Alien £SIL£ was just not sexy enough as an Alien. So here’s my version a little leaner, out go the “billy bob teeth” and a bit more definition of the legs and arms than the movie costume. ..This is part1 of a two part diorama (see included pics for details)3 x heads with this one Sil the Alien, Eve as a human and a half Eve/Sil2 x Upper Torso’s one full Alien large spikes, full body morph and one half torso still human smaller spikes.2 part base that will link with part2 of diorama. FDM print only as its big . .unless you have a very large resin printer!Separate FDM files orientated for better print/less supports1 x Bonus Head/Torso stand . . if you couple with armless torso you get a head stand, or if you opt for the magnetic torso attachment you get a stand for the spare torso and spare head . .
I have been requested to show how I fit magnets to align with more than one part .. so have included brief picture tutorial, using epoxy resin and clear poly sheet. Do have a try at this, it will give you more enjoyment from your printed model to be able to mix heads and torso’s.
I SHARE MY WORK FOR OTHERS TO ENJOY. . .PLEASE DO NOT SHARE THESE FILES ON SOCIAL MEDIA OR OTHER WEBSITES. LINKS TO THIS PAGE ARE ACCEPTEDAll of the parts are orientated to print base ready to print with your favorite slicer . .
All parts are cut files to fit build plate of small resin printers like the Photon, examples in images SLA orientated for least support and strongest print orientation, as seen in the images. These orientations work for FDM printing but you may find a better orientation that reduces support. All the parts have been printed and developed to print, A lot of prints have been produced to get the figures corrected and fault free.
The model is 1/6 scale and is approx. 310mm tall when standing on base.
Why cut into many smaller parts I have been asked?
