Admiral Yi Sun-Shin was born on April 28, 1545 in Korea. He was a Korean naval commander who is known for his victories against the Japanese navy during the Imjin War in the Joseon Dynasty. He is also known for his innovative use of the turtle ship, a type of warship that was covered with iron spikes and had a dragon’s head on the front. He is considered one of the greatest naval commanders in history and is still revered in Korea today as a national hero
