Rey yellow Lightsaber Star Wars 3D print model

This is a working replica of Rey's new yellow lightsaber from the latest star wars movie.

It has a working switch similar to the one in the movie aswell as the moving flaps on the tip.

It fits a 9V battery in the handle that can be opened throw the screws.

I used a polycarbonate tube with 25mm outer diameter and a 19mm inner diameter, i also made a cap for the blade that should be printed in transparent filament.

For the leds i used a standart led strip and white baking paper.

For the switch mechanism i used a spdt horizontal mini switch and some 5mm x 5mm magnets to put in the holes, it gives the switch a better feeling if you use it.

The flaps on top can be simply clipped in place and i made some caps that can be glued over the hinges to secure them.

If you decide to build this with the blade please be aware that this is only made out of plastic and propably won't hold up to dueling or strong movements.
