How do I split the file to print the components separately?

Description
This is my first attempt at trying to build a spring loaded prop. as it stands only the middle sections are retractable. you will need to insert a couple of small springs on the half moon pieces to make the buttons function and then make a custom spring to sit inside the detailed grip bar, which when the buttons pressed will force the section to its fullest. i have not printed this yet to test and will continue to develop the outer pieces to also be spring loaded when i have the time. alternatively you can have the piece constantly at full length.
you will need to duplicate the obj to make the other side

hello to you. thank you for your magnificent work. I have just printed it finally phew. the pins and blades I print them in Flexible the rest in PEPEG. can you just review the two points and the small tube there is a small problem .or just make the two points and the two rods separate .and that the rod goes into the bass of the pionte. to make the animatronic and in preparation but your work and magnificent thank you to you .a Predator from France

the model is too big for my home printer and the file is WAY too large for a company to make it for me. I would NOT recommend this model unless you have a very large printer.

the spear has not been separated and you have to do that yourself....problem is when you load it into meshmixer it takes 40 minutes to load and you cant separate the files because the files so large it glitches freezes and is impossible to work on. dont waist your money i asked seller to separate them and he didnt care or reply.
