The DOOM Slayer's helmet!

Update 9/5/2020: Added a visor buck that is highly detailed based on the collector's edition helmet and game textures.

  • Highly detailed and accurate 3D print model, based on the game model but all of the flat drawn in details have been modelled, with reference to the collector's edition helmet
  • Has a high poly count for minimal need to sand the surface (inevitable).
  • Has optimal wall thickness to ensure durability.
  • The visor model is included with detailing, which can be used as a vacuum forming buck

  • The model is scaled to an average head, 18.5cm width

  • Rip and tear!

This is a great model, with lots of detail. I printed it in multiple colors of PLA, on a Prusa XL. The result was outstanding, without any sanding or painting. https://photos.app.goo.gl/h79B3s6WHiNHM1gj6

By how much should I scale the model if it is incorrectly scaled when dropping it into the slicer?

Hello, Amazing design, how much time does it take to print the entire helmet (for example in 0.3 layer height and 15% inflill just for an overview) ? Have a nice day.

Hello, I don't know the exact numbers but it's a pretty big helmet with a substantial wall thickness, I'd expect it to use up a fair bit of filament. It's going to be similar to something like a motorcycle helmet.

Hi, Has the model been split into multiple parts for easier printing or is it just one part, and if so which infill, layer height and support settings did you use? Also, how much material did it use with those settings?

Hello! Yes it comes in both 1 piece and cut up pieces that fit most build volumes. I don't remember the print settings exactly as I wasn't the person handling the actual printing process, but I can drop it into Cura and give you an estimate. Send me a message if you'd like. Cheers!
