Description

PT boats were a variety of torpedo-armed fast attack craft used by the United States Navy in World War II to attack larger surface ships. PT is the US hull classification symbol for Patrol Torpedo.

Just about everything about this picture is really wrong. Wrong torpedoes (should be two mounted in tubes - early style), wrong guns (no 20 mm on the forward deck), missing depth charges (should be where the aft torpedoes are mounted, etc. It also was not a Higgins, it was an Elco 77 footer. Not historically correct by any means. Lots of details missing.
