Construction materials Pump case - manufactured from cast iron The impeller – plastic armed with glass fibre (polifenilenoxid-PPO) The shaft - stainless steel (chrome steel) The bearing – graphite ingrained with metal The pump used drawn and studied in this thesis is Wilo Top S30. This is a circulating pump wet rotor for inline mount with manual reverse of the speed in three steps. This type of pump is used in heating installations, cooling and cold water systems and closed industrial installations.
