  • mid poly model with excellent details.

Materials and Textures:

Organization of scene:

  • all objects and materials in scene are named appropriated;
  • real world size (system units = cm);
  • one skylight, one portal light.

File Formats:

  • native file format (3ds max 2011 + MentalRay);
  • .fbx;

  • .stl;

Renders:

  • all previews were rendered in 3ds Max 2011 with Mental Ray;
  • the model is ready for use and visualization in 3ds max from 2011 to newer versions.
  • for better experience, open the native max 2011 file or import the FBX one.

Warning: Depending on which software package you are using, the exchange formats (.obj, .3ds and .fbx) may not match the preview images exactly. Due to the nature of these formats, there may be some textures that have to be loaded by hand and possibly triangulated geometry.

I reduced this file to print in 1/25 scale, so some of the detail was lost like the script and lettering,but I have an older printer and using a 4k or higher printer, or even a larger scale might print that detail. With that said, I still give this file a high rating. I have been trying to find this type of manifold and this one is the only one currently available. One issue though is that the slicer identified holes in the model but was able to fix them for print. I use the Lychee slicer and printed it on a Photon Zero.
