VL65 (Vladimir Lenin, type 65) is a six-axle cargo-passenger electric locomotive of an alternating current of 25 kV voltage. The last Russian electric locomotive bearing the designation of overhead lines. It was produced from 1992 to 1999 by the Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant (NEVZ). The mechanical part (body and trolleys) is created on the basis of the cargo electric locomotive VL85 and the most significant differences are a different design of the axle boxes and the presence of a second cab instead of an intersection junction.
