German-built steam locomotive from 1893 used in Romania, complete with realistic cabin controls, brakes, valve gear and color scheme. Uses a 2-4-2 wheel arrangement, known in Europe as an 'Orleans' configuration.
This is one of the few steam locomotives available here with complete cabin controls! So if you're looking to render the insides of an authentic 19th century steam engin, then this model is for you! Just about every detail of the locomotive's exterior has been modeled using genuine blueprints, right down to the last rivet, including: Realistic Allan valve gear, water injectors, oil firing injectors, braking system, water gauges, leaf springs, sander mechanism, smokebox ash ejector, etc. All components have been named and separated accordingly, so you can salvage plenty of parts as wel.
Materials include several modified Mental Ray materials. No texture maps included! Instead, it uses a smoke map for the black metal and a simple dent map for the coal. Model is very detailed but is NOT extremely high poly, and so will have a speedy render time (provided you have a decent computer) while still keeping a great amount of details. Screens rendered in Mental Ray set at medium Final Gathering. Does not include any instances.
