The Jupiter launch vehicle, proposed in the DIRECT study as an alternative to the Ares I/Ares V launch architecture of the Constellation program. It featured an ET-derived core stage with 3 or 4 linearly-arranged RS-25s, 4 segment RSRM boosters, an upper stage with 6 RL10B-2 engines, and an 8.4 or 10 meter fairing. It aimed to meet both the performance requirements for lunar missions, and the requirement that NASA's heavy-lift launch vehicle be primarily Shuttle-derived
This model includes parts for the DIRECT 3.0 option D vehicles, Jupiter-130 and Jupiter-246 both with 10 meter Orion-adapter fairing.
