Boeing Phantom Express

Boeing Phantom Express 3D model

Description

Boeing's canceled Phantom Express launch vehicle, composed of a reusable Shuttle-derived spaceplane booster and an expendable upper stage. The booster was powered by a single AR-22 engine (adapted from surplus RS-25 hardware) and would perform a winged reentry and landing, either RTLS or downrange. Phantom Express was developed for DARPA's XS-P program, but canceled in 2020
