3D model of classic car tyre - Pirelli CN36 Cinturato 185/70 R 15. This tyre can often be found on classic Porsches and other sport cars of old era. Model is made precisely to real world dimensions and should fit perfectly on 15 inch wheel.

MODEL

  • Model dimensions: LWH 21,6 x 64,4 x 64,4 cm (8.5 x 25.4 x 25.4 in).

  • Model is made without subdivision in mind.
  • Model contains multiple material IDs logically assigned to help with materials.

MATERIALS

  • Materials are prepared for Corona renderer.
  • There are two material versions - for clean new tyre and for slightly used tyre. Materials are stored on separate non-renderable objects (only in Max scene for Corona renderer).
  • Sidewall markings are done with displacement and normal maps. It is advisable to use normal map for general views and switch to displacement for close-ups. By default normal map is turned on and displacement is turned off.
  • If you want to use other than Corona renderer, or to port model to other DCC app, you will have to recreate materials from scratch on your own. Be aware that current tyre material is constructed from complex shader nodes network, including render-time ambient occlusion and procedural noise - recreating this in another program might be challenging.
  • Scanline, FBX and OBJ has only very basic materials and will NOT render the same as in preview images.

TEXTURES

  • Format - PNG
  • Count - 4
  • Resolution - ranging from 1600 x 1600 px to 4000 x 4000
  • Textures are collected into one archive and are delivered in separate file.

UV COORDINATES

  • Model is partially unwrapped for correct placement of sidewall textures. Rest of the tyre is mapped with render-time triplanar mapping. Please keep this in mind if you plan to use the model outside of 3ds Max and Corona combo.

SCENE

  • Model is scaled to accurate real world dimensions.
  • Objects, materials and textures has meaningful and matching names.
  • Transformations has been reset and model is placed at scene origin [0, 0, 0 XYZ].
  • All texture paths are set to relative.
