This model is a composite of prewar M24 engine in a post war swinging arm suspension frame. As it happens, the older engine in the model does not make any difference to me. However, I can see that a version of this with the later 1956 on big fin DB or DBD BSA Gold Star engine would be more popular, as the DBD is the most popular version of the Gold Star range, with the greatest number of surviving examples. Altogether, a good model for my purposes.
