My grandparents were very hard workers. They both worked multiple jobs in order to make ends meet. Grandpa worked as an Ice Cream Man at Dolly Madison and a Produce Man at Safeway, where he eventually worked for more than 30 years. Grandma worked for K-Mart, and for some reason always had rubber bands all over everything in the house, including her wrist, the kitchen faucet, and around her nametag. I do not know why she needed so many rubber bands. She also worked for Denver Public Schools, and one time I ran across some of the office humor dittos she made and shared with the other school office ladies. It really opened my eyes to the face that Grandmas could be blue. It took a long time to get over that. Grandma also had other secrets.
