I was a bit surprised that mesh was not subdivided as base / stand / gem to allow easy re-texturing. I exported FBX to OBJ/MTL + body-texture using free Autodesk FBX toolkit, had fun tweaking its map hues in IrfanView. Then I found the confidence to re-boot my dormant '3D Eye', get back on the mesh-editor learning curve. So, Thank You !!
